HELP WANTED ON-AIR

Blueberry Broadcasting in Augusta and Bangor, Maine has a rare full-time opening in the on-air department. Blueberry has 15 signals broadcasting 5 distinct brands covering multiple markets in Maine including Country WBFB/WBFE/WMCM; Rock WTOS/WTOS-FM/WTUX; Classic Hits WABK-FM/WBAK/WBKA; Adult Contemporary WKSQ/WQSK/WQSS and News/Talk WVOM-FM/WVQM. The individual we seek has a solid on-air presence and is a versatile communicator. Previous experience with Country or AC is preferred. In addition to on-air work the person should have superior production skills as for the past 15 years we’ve been highly awarded for our consistently great production. Strong social media skills would be a plus. We are looking for a team player who takes pride in their work and understands the changing and evolving nature of our business. Blueberry Broadcasting is looking for an energetic, creative, career-oriented person to join our team of sales professionals. We have positions open in our Bangor, Maine and Augusta, Maine offices.

Radio, both over the air and online, continues to be one of the most cost-effective mediums for reaching a large percentage of the population and Blueberry covers Eastern and Central Maine better than anybody with 5 unique brands across 15 signals plus digital streaming.

We are seeking a person who is highly motivated to help local businesses solve their marketing challenges.  This position is primarily prospecting and developing new business.

Strong written and verbal skills, a sense of organization, and the ability to manage your time and set and achieve goals are required.  Prior sales experience is a plus but not necessary; we will train the right person.
